A diagnostic assessment for ADHD is based on:

• A developmental interview with parents
• Standardised questionnaires completed by parents and teachers
• An appointment with your child
• Depending on your child’s age, we may ask them to complete some questionnaires too
• Neuropsychological testing is sometimes recommended, to give us a more detailed picture of your child’s relative strengths and difficulties.

The diagnostic process for ADHD requires the involvement of a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist, who will typically join the feedback appointment to discuss the outcome of the assessment and treatment options with you.

For all assessments, we will give you a quote for the work, once we have decided all the parts of the assessment and who the clinicians will be.
